WELCOME
After teaching school clay classes for over 18 years I have developed a series of low-cost, small clay projects designed to make clay art more available and much more easy to use as a medium for creative expression and curriculum enhancement.

Everything you need:

Simple instructions and all material and other resources are delivered right to your school. Excellent support is provided for the teacher so that the whole School Clay Art™ experience is enjoyable, affordable and a lot of fun.

The students just love it!

Student achievement and Art
Students who participate in the arts are:
  • 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement
  • 3 times more likely to be elected to class office
  • 4 times more likely to participate in a math/science fair
  • 3 times more likely to win an award for school attendance
  • Participate in youth groups nearly four times as frequently
  • Read for pleasure nearly twice as often
  • Perform community service more than four times as often

What about test scores?

Funding these important clay classes
It’s often ironic that the classes the students most enjoy are usually the most difficult to fund. (Note too, that of all the visual arts, elementary students most prefer clay – by a very wide margin!). We are very aware, and are sensitive to, the costs for many activities undertaken in your classroom and we have taken steps to ensure that our School Clay Art ™projects are of very high quality and very low cost. Even though most States require Art as a core subject, it’s funding is often relegated to the PTA or other Non-Profit grants.
There is however, a slowly-growing renaissance where school Principals or District Superintendents are realizing the great benefits of providing visual arts to all their students. Remember too, these clay projects are a delight to use – and are specifically designed for the teacher with little or no clay experience. Additional funding suggestions can be found at ‘SUPPORT & FUNDING’ at the top of this page.
How this site can help you with your own clay classes
Select from over 120 projects - including all the materials and easy-to-use instructions. Every project is designed for the maximum enjoyment of your students and for the ability and age of each grade. These projects are also easily integrated with your own curricula (such as Early American culture/history, Nature, Endangered Species, Undersea Studies etc...). Want a special project for your class? We even offer a free design service to meet those needs too!
Many projects celebrate events – such as Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Halloween, Christmas, – but any of these projects can be used throughout the School year as well as for after-school clay classes, Summer School and Fund Raising events. (They have proved so popular with the students that teachers are actually using these clay classes as a ‘reward’ for student achievement in other school classes).
Most importantly, we provide superb support for the teacher – from fast and helpful responses to your telephone or email questions, to comprehensive written and DVD instructions as well any assistance for every step of making every project. Around 85% of our teachers that order their first projects have little or no experience with clay...
Very low per-student cost.  Discounts.
The average material cost of most of these projects is less than $5.80 per student. (The cost per student can be found next to each project in the PROJECT GALLERY).
In almost every case, your first project will arrive with certain resources (such as molds, templates, etc.) that you may also need for your second and subsequent orders. As all our projects can be grouped into several broad shape categories (sphere, cube, tile, etc. ) when you order additional projects in the same shape category there is no need for you to again pay for any resources already received with your first project order. Using our Common Resource Credit we refund to your school around 45-55% of the listed project price for these second and subsequent projects that belong to the same shape category.
